Spring Makeup Trend: Watercolors

At New York’s Spring 2013 Fashion Week, the runway was ablaze with watercolor and oceanic inspired prints.  Naturally, these ethereal looks translated into sheer washes of high pigment color and fresh faced beauty for Spring.  The key to using highly pigmented color is having the right brush…and a cheat sheet!  Here’s how to achieve the look!

1.  Using an eye-blender brush, lightly sweep your lightest base color from lash line to brow (see Fantasy Palette).  Then, using the same brush sweep a pale blue shade from the lash line to the crease.

2.  Line the bottom of the eye from the inner to outer corner with a pale green shade.

3.  Finish off the look with a soft black eyeliner on the bottom inner rim of the eye and black mascara – of course!
